Octoroons was a song written about the definition of the word, which sounded funny to me. It was done a capella and the O.P. would sing it when together because they needed no instruments. Eventually I became aware that the term is somehow racist, as it was part of a method to differentiate who had “black blood”, and therefore was “second class”.
