Zambesi Stomp

As a child, I would see pictures in National Geographic of those natives in remote regions of Africa. I was most intrigued by the wild dancing they did. Watching on TV one day I saw some natives doing the same dance! They danced in quite an uninhibited manner, to say the least! I wanted to write a song that these natives could dance to.

This song tells of a man who mysteriously disappears and finds himself in an undisclosed location in the jungles of Africa. There, he ingratiates himself to the indigenous people, who then teach him all about life, how to hunt, what to eat, but most importantly, how to do the dance they did. I don’t know their word for this dance, but I call it the Zambesi Stomp!
